The Building Process The President of Cinder Creek Construction, Neal Crowell, will meet with you on your lot (or prospective lot if you have not purchased it yet) to discuss possible home placement, setbacks and to answer any questions. At this time views and vistas can be discussed for incorporation into your home. This is also a great time to review architectural themes. Should you choose to utilize our design services or wish to have us work with your architect this phase of construction is of upmost importance. At this time Cinder Creek encourages the gathering of all design professionals that may be working together on your home; ie. architect or designer, landscape architect or designer, and interior decorator. This is the point in which budgets and a scope of work are established for the project. Additionally, any Architectural Review Board approvals and final site evaluations are completed during this phase. We will assist with the selections for your home. You will receive a schedule of the selections that need to be made as well as a time table for completion of those selections. We also will educate you about the process so that you are aware of the potential cost overruns associated with the selection process. Quite often it is very easy to visit a showroom and choose what you like without realizing how the installed materials affect the budget. By making selections early we are better able to prevent delays in construction time as well as being alerted ahead of time of any special needs. Neal will meet with you onsite to confirm the final site placement of your home and driveway and to discuss the grading plan for the lot. He will also chat with you about elevation of the lot and how the house pad will be built. Additionally, necessary tree protection and tree removal will be covered.
Framing
Completion Once the framing is complete you will meet onsite with Neal to walk the home and answer any questions you may have. This is a time when discussions of mechanical systems placement will occur. Cinder Creek also runs additional quality assurance checks to prepare your home for the next stage of construction. Together we will meet with you onsite to finalize the locations of lights, switches and discuss any special electrical considerations that will need to be taken into account. Once the interior trim and cabinets are in we will review the progress to date and discuss the final stages of construction. Final Review During the final review we will walk the home and make a detailed list of any concerns and items to be finalized. |
