By choosing to limit the number of homes Cinder Creek builds annually Neal is able to spend more time on each job site and working with clients. Cinder Creek Construction offers vast building expertise which results in the construction of extraordinary homes.
A seasoned builder, Neal possesses a keen eye for detail and enjoys working alongside his experienced subcontractors to surpass clients’ expectations.
Neal has an extensive resume detailing over 30 years in the construction industry. He began in the field as a superintendent for a national builder and was promoted to Purchasing and Estimating Manager. He then was asked to become Construction Services Manager for the Southeast Florida division which at that time was building approximately 1200 homes a year. His talent for effective leadership was further recognized when he was offered the opportunity to focus his eye for detail and lead the Mid-Atlantic Division as the Director of Purchasing. This position saw Neal overseeing all purchasing responsibilities for labor and material for 12 divisions from South Carolina to New Jersey. Neal’s next phase led to him working on a corporate level by developing purchasing strategies that would soon be adopted nationwide.
After many moves and a climb up the proverbial “corporate ladder” it was time to return home to Charleston and realize his goal of having his own company.
Cinder Creek Construction is culmination of Neal’s experience and the luxury homes he has built for himself along the way. While his path may not be what most would expect it enables him to have a distinct advantage in the way he views the importance of every aspect of construction.
KARA CROWELL
Kara manages everything to do with the day-to-day at Cinder Creek Construction. Kara manages all client communication, contracts, and financials for Cinder Creek. Her experience with a boutique builder with projects starting at $3 million sets her apart when it comes to ensuring every detail of each project turns out perfectly, on time, and on budget.
Kara works closely with our clients and vendors to ensure that everything about your new home gets finished according to your liking. She oversees every element of construction all the way through completion. Kara is the one that sets the standard for excellence in how Cinder Creek homes are built including permitting, inspections, architect interaction, and ARB approvals when needed. She performs the field coordinations needed, week in and week out, to ensure things are installed as selected.
Prior to Cinder Creek, Kara worked for a custom builder managing purchasing, estimating, and permitting. Her extensive experience working in the high-end Palm Beach, FL market and talent in selection of custom finishing details allows Cinder Creek to create truly personalized homes.
Kara and Neal have seen great success building homes on Kiawah Island, Seabrook Island, Johns Island, and the Charleston area for many satisfied new homeowners!
